Success is something we all want to achieve, right? We live in a generation full of budding entrepreneurs, young professionals and creatives who all want that one thing. But what is it that exactly defines success? Making “x” amount of dollars? Having “x” amount of followers? Driving the best car? These are all things that people may strive for, but we achieve the best success when the end goal is contentment and being confident in your success.
We can achieve that contentment by being confident that it will happen, but you’ll want to shake some of these habits that may be causing you to lose confidence in your future success.
1. You Stay In Your Comfort Zone
Staying in your comfort zone is a sure way to keep you where you are, because well, you are holding yourself back. We all know what we want to do but if we let it overwhelm us, we can easily become anxious about actually taking the steps to make it happen.
Think of your comfort zone as a bubble of uncertainty. Outside that bubble lies a whole world dedicated to you and your dreams. The only thing you can do is what? Step outside that bubble and take action to create the life you want for yourself.
2. You Don’t Think About The Big Picture
Sometimes we find ourselves asking “why am I even doing this?” Trust me, I’ve been there before. While working toward our passions, we will run into challenges that cause us to question whether this is even “our thing.” Don’t let that stop you from seeing the big picture.
You have to have a clear vision of where you want to be. If that means messing up 1,000 times, that consistency and drive is what will keep us going.
3. You Aren’t Giving Yourself Enough Credit
Sometimes we become so focused on what we “must do,” that we lose sight of what we’ve already accomplished. Take a step back and realize you deserve a pat on the back for all the hard work you’ve put forth. It’s easy to criticize yourself, but to really appreciate what you’ve done makes going forward much more worthwhile. So go ahead, be your own biggest fan!
